Neighbors forge stronger friendships on Sands St.
Residents of Sands Street between Navy and Gold streets got a chance to meet their neighbors all over again Saturday as residents kicked off their annual block party.
Attendees said that the block party was pretty relaxed event: the adults sat back and swapped stories with old and new friends as they feasted on barbecue chicken, hamburgers and hotdogs.
Every once and awhile, they kept their eye on their kids, who spent the day touring the car-free block on their bicycles before a spirited game of hoops.
