Scott Steiner Net Worth: How Freakzilla Flexed His Way to a Million

Scott Steiner, aka Big Poppa Pump, is many things: genetic freak, chainmail enthusiast, mathematician (sort of).

But a multi-millionaire? Not exactly.

As of 2025, Scott Steiner’s net worth is around $1 million. Not bad, but not quite “holler if ya hear me” rich either.

So, where did that million come from? Find out below!

Who Is Scott Steiner?

Scott Steiner (real name Scott Rechsteiner) broke into professional wrestling as one-half of The Steiner Brothers, a powerhouse tag team with his real-life brother, Rick.

But the real money-maker came when he ditched the family act and went solo in the late ’90s WCW.

“Big Poppa Pump” was born. Loud, impossibly jacked, and wildly entertaining. After that, his career (and bank account) really started to bulk up.

WCW: The Peak Payday

Scott never hit seven figures in a single year, but 2000 came close. That was his most lucrative year, when he finally won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

During this peak, he earned $2.3 million, according to TheSportster. This payday was largely thanks to WCW’s over-the-top contracts during its final years, fueled by the AOL Time Warner merger.

WWE and Beyond: Decent, Not Dominant

In 2002, Scott finally signed with WWE. The money was decent, but the run? Not so much.

His feud with Triple H fizzled, and a bizarre tag team stint with Test and Stacy Keibler didn’t help. An injury benched him, and by 2004, he was let go.

In TNA, he found more creative freedom (and less censorship). His match with Samoa Joe gifted the internet the infamous “Steiner Math” promo.

After a string of losses and inactivity, TNA released him. Scott kept busy bouncing around indie shows and international gigs, then eventually returned to TNA again.

Beyond the Ring: Business and TV

Outside the ring, Scott opened a Shoney’s franchise in Acworth, Georgia, which he co-owned with his wife from 2016 to 2020.

And for the record, you don’t just casually buy into a Shoney’s. You need to show you’re worth at least $1.5 million, with half a million in liquid assets.

He also appeared in TV and film, including an episode of Charmed (2000), The Jersey (2001), and even a Costa Rican-Indian comedy in 2017 (no, really).

Then, in 2022, he showed up on Judge Steve Harvey, possibly the most bizarre crossover of his career.

Scott has made money from wrestling conventions, autograph signings, and Cameo messages. If you’ve ever paid $120 to have Scott Steiner yell at you in character, congrats—you helped build that net worth.

Final Flex

At around $1 million, Scott Steiner’s net worth isn’t massive, but between wrestling paydays, business ventures, and TV appearances, he’s done alright.

Just don’t ask him to explain percentages!
